National Conference on Education
Focusing on Democracy in Education this year
If a democratic society is based on participation, empowerment and democracy,
shouldn’t these be the goals of education too?
Has our society made any progress towards achieving these goals?
Why Democracy in Education?
When one talks of democratic education, we are talking about a space where ideas can be shared without fear and conflicting ideas accepted on merit without any biases about who said what.
The conference aims to question the principles of present day education and its efficacy in finding an answer to the problems our society.
